When you plug the device into your USB, Windows will look for the associated driver, if it cannot find this driver then you will be prompted to insert the driver disc that came with your device. Common USB Device errors are ‘ usb port not working ‘, ‘device descriptor request failed error’ or ‘bugcodeusbdriver’ issues. Download the USBDRVEN driver file from the Sony® Support Web site. NOTE: Save this file to the desktop. When the download completes, on the computer desktop, double-click the USBDRVEN icon. In the USB Driver Software window, click the OK button. NOTE: The driver will extract, and create a folder on the computer desktop named Sonyusb.

To install any driver, plug in the device and if not prompted for the driver location, use Device Manager to install new drivers as described on the Microsoft website
