  4. Run latest patch install.
  5. Launch Allison DOC®.

Noregon Wireless/USB Translator 2.0 Driver Download

Important: The DLA+ 2.0 Wireless firmware must be updated in addition to the drivers. The firmware will automatically update the first time you attempt to connect to an application.

Run the Driver Installation

  1. From USB – if installation does not automatically start, run the “dlawir32_full_x86x64_4.0.7445.1.exe” file from the USB.
  2. From the web site – download the executable and save to your hard drive; then run “dlawir32_full_x86x64_4.0.7445.1.exe” from your hard drive.
  3. On the “Install” screen, select “Install”.
  4. On the “Welcome” screen, select “Next”.
  5. Read the license agreement and select “I agree” checkbox and then select “Next”.
  6. Select or accept the default installation path and then select “Install”.
  7. On the “Ready to Install” screen, select “Next”.
  8. When complete, select “Finish”.

Program the New Firmware

  1. Attach your DLA+ 2.0 Wireless Adapter to your computer via USB and to a vehicle to insure adapter is powered.
  2. Connect to any supported OEM application.
  3. Follow on-screen instructions to allow the firmware to be updated

Connection Instructions

To connect to the TCM in Allison DOC®, select 'F4 - Connect'. In the Transmission Connect window, select the correct Transmission Type.

Noregon Driver Download

If you are using one of the following translator devices, you can take advantage of the SmartConnect feature for Allison DOC® to automatically detect the correct translator protocol:

  • Noregon DLA+ Wireless 2.0 (USB)
  • Noregon DLA+ Wireless (USB)
  • Nexiq USB-Link
  • Nexiq USBLink 2
  • Dearborn DPA 4+

To use SmartConnect, check the SmartConnect box and select 'Connect'.

If you are using a different translator than listed above, uncheck the SmartConnect box and select 'Connect'. On the Communications Adapter Setup window, the Translator Device dropdown will allow you to select from translators that are supported by Allison DOC®. Select the appropriate Translator Device and Protocol and select 'Connect'.

Noregon Drivers

If your translator is not present in the list, select 'Advanced Setup'. The Advanced Setup selection is not available for CEC transmissions. The Vendor dropdown will allow you to select your translator using the manufacture identifier. For example, the Noregon DLA+ Wireless 2.0 translator manufacture identifier is DLAWIR32. Note that translators that are not supported by Allison DOC® may not successfully connect to your TCM. Technical support is not available for translators that are not officially supported by Allison DOC®.

If your translator is not available for selection in the Communications Adapter Setup window or the Advanced Setup window, verify your translator driver is installed on the computer.

Basic Connectivity Troubleshooting

Noregon Usb Translator 2.0 Drivers

  • Make sure the ignition is on.
  • Make sure all of the cables and connectors are in good condition and are compatible with your translator.
  • Make sure that you have selected the correct transmission type.
  • Disconnect then reconnect the translator device from both the PC and the vehicle's diagnostic port.
  • Make sure you have the most current translator device driver version installed on your PC.
  • Close the application, disconnect the translator device from the PC, reboot the PC and try to reconnect.
  • Ensure the TCM has sufficient power.
  • Use the Data Bus Viewer feature to verify correct adapter installation and cabling. OBDII cables are required from GMLAN and J1850 communications and an OBDI cable is required for CEC transmissions. These cables are not included in the Kit for Noregon Wireless/USB Translator - All Allison Products, but are available for purchase.
