This update may require a firmware update for newer Access Probers, serial number prefixes 522, 532, 542, 552, 672 and 697.

1. Portable Inspection Software: Used to inspect lateral service lines, wells, and manholes when using push cameras or well inspection cameras.
2. The SDK includes Linux and Windows device drivers, sample application programs, and an application programming interface (API) that is supplied as a both a Windows dynamic link library (DLL) and a Linux static library. The API core is available in source code form to OEMs who need to port the API to other operating systems.

If you are upgrading from Workstation 4.2 please download and follow these driver and firmware installation instructions prior to connecting to your Huntron Tracker or Prober with version 4.3!

Note: Download size is 665Mb.
To install this version, close Huntron Workstation. Unzip the file to a folder and then optionally burn the folder contents to a DVD. If Autorun is enabled on your PC, the install will begin or you can double-click on the WorkstationSetup.exe file. Follow the on-screen prompts based on your connected Huntron hardware. Verify the install by running Huntron Workstation and selecting About Huntron Workstation from the Help menu to view the version number.

Note: Current Workstation Software Maintenance is required to use this new version. Contact Huntron if you need to update your Software Maintenance. Go to our Workstation Software page (scroll down and select the Licensing/PC Specs tab) for more details on Software Maintenance.

Important Note for existing Tracker Model 30 (including Access Tracker) and Tracker 2800/2800S Users upgrading from version 4.2: You are required to update your Tracker Windows driver and Tracker firmware before you can connect to your Tracker Model 30 (including Access Tracker) or Tracker 2800/2800S. Please download and follow these driver and firmware installation instructions prior to connecting to your Huntron Tracker or Prober with version 4.3. Contact Huntron Technical Support with any questions.

Important Note for existing Access Prober Users upgrading from version 4.2: Install the new versions of the Sensoray, NI Vision and DFK Camera (Access DH users only) that are included with this version as needed. Also update the HS20USB drivers located in the Windows Device Manager.

Note: Huntron Workstation 4.3 runs under Microsoft Windows Vista, Windows 7, 8 and 10; Requires .NET 4.0 framework. TrackerPXI, Probers with PCI (Sensoray 611) camera card (PIIc, PIIIc, Access with serial connection), Access NFSA, Access EME, and ProTracks with parallel port interface (CE or older versions) are NOT supported in this version. Users of these hardware configurations should use version 4.2.5513.

Note: Huntron Workstation 4.3 requires activation codes to run.

Huntron Access DH2 Camera Firmware Update - Access DH2 users should download and install the firmware update that will help with camera connection issues.
Instructions: Unzip the downloaded file; Disconnect the Z2 camera cable at the camera; Power on your Access DH2; Run the file 'Usb3CamFirmwareUpdate.exe'; Follow the installation as prompted; Power down your Access DH2; Reconnect the Z2 camera cable and disconnect the Z1 camera cable; Power on your Access DH2 and repeat the firmware update; Reconnect the Z1 camera cable when complete. CAD Tools CCASM 1.3 download (Full installation - 305MB)
This is the latest update of CCASM that contains CAMCAD Pro for Workstation 4.1/4.2 users licensed for CAD Import. Download the zipped file and extract it to a folder on your hard drive. Run the setup file to install CCASM 1.3. IMPORTANT: When the Mentor Graphics application selection menu is displayed, select to install CAMCAD Professional ONLY. Do not install any other Mentor Graphics applications included on the CD.

Description

Model 2253 is a compact and robust USB-compatible audio/video codec that is powered from a single USB port. Its small size (1.5' x 2.75') and low power consumption (1.5 Watts) make it ideal for both portable and embedded applications.

Simplified 2253 block diagram

Multiple, independent video processors allow the unit to simultaneously produce two different video streams from its single composite input and send the streams out over USB. One of the streams can be a low-latency uncompressed stream (useful for real time previewing) and the other compressed, or both streams may be compressed. Image transformations (resolution, rotation, mirroring) are independently configurable for each stream, as well as compression type and bit rate in the case of compressed streams.

Pause and resume are supported for both stream capture and playback. Up to 1024 bytes of application-supplied data can be inserted in the H.264 or MPEG stream at regular frame intervals or single shot, and closed captions are supported for H.264 streams.

Stream Formats

Video and audio are available as elementary streams or may be multiplexed in MP4 container format.

The 2253 supports transport streams by packaging elementary streams with error correction and stream synchronization to help maintain integrity when the signal is degraded. The transport stream uses AAC audio and H.264 for MPEG-4.

Digital I/O

One general purpose digital input and one output are provided. The output is optically isolated, while the input may be either optically isolated or galvanically coupled. The input is sampled every millisecond and, when a state change is detected, a notification is sent to the application program. The input can also be used to control the flow of any stream, without host involvement.

Audio Sync

Hardware-generated timestamps are employed to keep audio synchronized to the video, thus eliminating 'lip sync' problems. MP4 files can be edited in Adobe Premiere Pro with A/V sync preserved.

Real-Time Text Overlay

The overlay generators can position up to 160 characters of text anywhere in the video frame. A unique text string, consisting of mixed constant and variable text, may be defined for each overlay generator. Text variables are automatically updated every video frame. Supported variables include time, date, and frame count.

Graphics Overlay with Unicode Text

Overlay images and high quality, styled unicode text (bold, italic, underline, outline and shadow) can be displayed on top of the composite video output, compressed streams, or preview stream (but not low latency preview stream).

Up to 256 full-color overlay regions are supported on the composite output, and up to eight monochrome-only regions are supported on compressed and preview streams (except low latency preview). BMP and PNG image formats are supported, with 24 or 32 bits per pixel and up to eight transparancy levels.

Please note that preview/compressed stream overlays (text or graphics) modify luminance only and consequently may be tinted by background colors. Also, unlike composite output overlays, these overlays are limited in number, size and complexity; see the above right image for an example what is possible.

The 2253 can also perform as a decoder, converting a USB-supplied compressed audio/video stream into standard analog video and audio signals. (Note: Decoding is guaranteed only for streams captured with the 2253). The following formats are supported for decoding: MPEG-4, H.264, MP4 and MJPEG. The composite output video can be sourced from either the composite video input or a decoded compressed stream.

Low Latency Preview

Model 2253 supports a low latency preview mode for real-time applications. When capturing in native resolution (704x480 for NTSC or 704x576 for PAL) this mode reduces the overall latency by approximately one frame time. See the latency timing diagram for details.

Model 2253 is a small footprint, bare-board version for OEM applications.
It is CE compliant when used in an appropriate enclosure.

Model 2253S features a sturdy metal enclosure with video, audio, USB and GPIO connectors.

Model 2253P combines a 2253, a GPS receiver, and incremental encoder interfaces in a robust metal enclosure.
